Unlike the original work of Olha Kobylianska, the action of the play “Vovchykha” focuses us on the relationship between mother and daughter.
Hyperopia, misunderstanding of each other’s needs and the inability to speak sincerely plunge the heroines of the play into an unreal, “inverted” world of their fantasies, desires and fictions.
The characters stand on the edge of two worlds, not fully belonging to either of them…
