“MADAME HELEN” is a fantastic investigation based on real events in the territory of Ukraine and France, covering the period from the Second World War to the present day.
This performance was created by the French director Jules Audrey, who lived in Ivano-Frankivsk for more than a year. The idea arose after the meeting of the director with Mrs. Olena (Madame Helen), who moved with her parents to Ukraine at the age of 12 and has been living here for more than half a century.
Why INVESTIGATION?
Director Jules Audrey met the heroine of his future play by chance. But he was so inspired by her story that he decided… to conduct his own investigation of those events.
Why FANTASTIC?
This is a symbiosis of the story as the heroine remembers it, Jules Audrey’s own investigation of the details of this story, as well as the personal experiences and notes of fantasy of the director and the three actors.
