“ENEIDA” on the top of Mount Pip Ivan for the Independence Day of Ukraine!

New's thumbnail Happy Independence Day of Ukraine! On August 21, on the top of Mount Pip Ivan)Chornohirskyi at an altitude of 2028 m above sea level, the Frankivsk drama theater played the burlesque extravaganza "ENEIDA" based on the landmark poem for Ukraine by Ivan Kotliarevskyi, staged by the People's Artist of Ukraine, laureate of the Shevchenko Prize Rostyslav Derzhypilskyi. This is a performance about the formation of the Ukrainian nation, national spirit and dignity, about the events in Ukraine then and now, about the cyclical nature of history, about our "genetic code", as well as the indomitable will and strength to protect and preserve the unity and independence of our land. Our heroic country, like that motor boy Aeneas (Enei), went through many trials in order to obtain and preserve the most precious thing - its Independence. We all grow up and become independent through difficult experiences: through ambitious endeavors, fun adventures, bright accomplishments, mistakes and successes, bold decisions and courageous actions, indomitable struggle and victories! Three days ago, we traditionally climbed the third peak of the Carpathians as a team to gain strength and remind every Ukrainian: we must persevere and win! The burlesque extravaganza "Eneida" was created in 2014 during the Revolution of Dignity. "Eneida" is a path to finding one's own identity, a path to purification through introspection and life-affirming self-irony, through war and worldview struggle, which unites and makes us stronger. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes! * The event took place in partnership with V. Stefanyk Prykarpatskyi National University at the International Science Center "White Elephant Observatory". We sincerely thank the rector of V. Stefanyk PNU Ihor Yevhenovych Tsependa for his support!
