“The So-Called Humanity in Madness” is a mysterious and unfinished drama by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz. The final form of the manuscript remains unknown, as Witkiewicz committed suicide, leaving the play unfinished. The ambition of the project is to have artificial intelligence complete the lost manuscript, which is not only a tribute to Witkiewicz’s legacy, but also an innovative combination of technology and art. The performance aims to explore new dimensions of narrative by combining AI-generated content with virtual reality technology, honouring Witkiewicz’s avant-garde spirit and his fascination with the limits of human creativity and existential search.

“The So-Called Humanity in Madness” is a live performance taking place simultaneously on three stages in Ukraine, Poland and Germany. The audience can watch it live and in virtual reality.

A co-production of the Frankivsk Drama Theatre, the Juliusz Slovak Theatre in Krakow (Poland) and the CyberRauber Virtual Reality Theatre (Germany).
