“The man with a long shadow” – that’s what Kafka called himself. We will try to penetrate this shadow, feel it, explore the whimsical images of its ghostly space. After all, there (in the shadows) is hidden from everyone and even from the consciousness of the author himself the world of his fears, desires and fragile indecisive love…
The chamber scene is Franz Kafka’s room. It has only a bed and a wardrobe, in which numerous chimeras of the writer’s subconscious hide and emerge. All of them are his women, his parents, casual acquaintances. We learned about them from the works, diaries and letters of Kafka himself, which, by the way, he bequeathed to be destroyed after his death. But they survived. And now they reveal to us what he wanted to bury with himself forever.
